Kwang-Chul Kwon, PhD

For the past 15 years I have practiced plant/algal synthetic biology with pioneers in the field such as Dr. Henry Daniell and in management positions at a number of startups. My specialty is in the design of new biologics for oral delivery to humans through engineering of plants (lettuce/tobacco) or algae (Chlamydomonas) for clinical or industrial applications. Through my contributions I strive to increase bioavailability and drive titers of our engineered proteins to high levels with an aim to translate our results in the lab to production level scale.
