Justin Smith, PhD

Justin received his PhD from Stanford’s Genetics Department in 2016. He has over 10 years of experience working in the field of programmable genome engineering. He was an early adopter of CRISPR technologies and developed the first published CRISPR screen in yeast. In addition to leading research programs and publishing high-impact research papers in this area, he’s been a key innovator of Recombia’s technologies. He is an alum of the Ignite program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
