Our Background
Our founder and CEO Cory Henderson was an NSF graduate research fellow during his Ph.D. where he studied genome engineering to create disease resistant mosquitos. Seeking to apply his learning in genome engineering of non-model organisms he left academia to create BioDrive. BioDrive is supported by a core scientific team well suited to creating the vision of scalable and edible bioreactors as well as a strong advisory network consisting of entrepreneurs, academics, and industry experts. Seeking the most socially and commercially relevant application of their approach to bio-production, the BioDrive team saw that by leveraging the natural bioavailability of agricultural crops they could increase the scale of production of high value peptides. The goal of BioDrive is to bring these life changing molecules to a wider audience through their ease of production, increased shelf life, and oral delivery format.
