Kayla is a rising third-year double majoring in Business Administration and Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley. She has conducted research on neuroscience and aggression at Mount Sinai in New York. She has since transitioned to conducting experiments on host factors for tropical disease infections with the CRISPR/Cas-9 cloning pipeline. She is also working with the Nucleate Accelerator in the Bay Area chapter and the Bakar Bioenginuity Hub.
